Luke 21:11 “There will be great earthquakes.”
In a little over seven days our planet has been shaken by 144 earthquakes; more that fifty last Sunday alone. They are not small earthquakes. Where will the next one strike?
It is evident that we are living in alarming times. As the earth beneath our feet is being shaken, so are our families. Dads have abandoned their roles as provider and leader of the family. They have given over their responsibility of disciplining their children to the mother. Many have not accepted the role of parenting at all, leaving families fractured and insecure.
Provers 29:17 “Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.”
Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4
Many wives have felt abandoned and are looking for their own direction in life. Their focus is turned away from their children toward themselves. The children are lonely and helpless and many are hopeless and angry.
Without God’s direction at the center families have no firm foundation.
