Genesis 5:24 “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
Tragically most, within the church, are walking with the world, not with God. It is infinitely easier to glide the broad-way than to walk the narrow way that is often tempted with obstacles of carnal pleasures.
God’s children are sojourners in a dangerous land. Our road runs through areas with many good things, beautiful things, and fun and entertaining activities that give us pleasure and excitement. They fill our lives and keep us busy. The deceptive spirit grows until finally, it leaves us tired, broken, and empty, searching for real, lasting meaning for our lives.
Enoch was blessed, not because he had no trials, but because he walked with God.
