Roy’s Blog: “Anxiety”

Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing.”

I saw a can the other day that said, “WARNING: Contents Under Pressure.”

The single most stressful time of the year is the period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. There are people walking around during that time that need that warning ‘contents under pressure’ stamped on their forehead. Some years, especially if the economy is not good, pressures mount up and become more than they can bear. They give in to angry outbursts toward their families or people they meet in stores.

The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing.” That’s easier said than done. The Bible goes on to say, “Pray about everything.”

Are you uptight, anxious? The most important thing you can do is pray. It will change the way you think. It will change the way you deal with others–especially if you pray for them.

Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks in his heart so he is.”
