Psalm 91:2 “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”
It’s a scary thing to be scared. I’ve often thought about the time the apostles were so scared during a storm on the Sea of Galilee. When Jesus calmed the storm on the sea, he calmed the apostles fear.
We sometimes fear the days of darkness, fear the struggles to come from health issues, financial burdens, or personal issues. We can’t see our way through the problem. Darkness has shrouded the answers and we stumble and fall, grasping for something to hold on to. Jesus says, “Fear not. I am with you. I am your refuge.”
John 8:12 “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me you won’t walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
When you are scared, cast your fear and your burdens on the Lord. He is our refuge from the storm.
