Isaiah 40:31 “Those who hope in the will renew their strength.”
You ever have a day that starts out so bad you just want to go back to bed and cover your head? You wake up late, can’t seem to get it together, can’t find your keys. You finally find them right where you left them–in the refrigerator by the milk you bought yesterday.
Lunchtime comes and you think you can finally relax. You’re starved and looking forward to eating a delicious meal, but oops, you trip and lunch goes flying. You look at the floor and decide how dirty it is and if the five second rule could apply. Not hardly, you decide. So, no lunch. The day has been a disaster from the beginning, and you can’t wait for it to be over.
Some days are like that. Everyone has them at times. I have found if I start my day in prayer, yes, I still have bad days, but I can handle them better.
Psalm 73:26 (ESV) “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
