Matthew 7:14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
This year is already bringing tremendous challenges to the Christians of the quickly fleeting “church age.” Tragically, most within the body of Christ are walking in lockstep with the world. Not with God.
It is infinitely easier to stroll along the broad way, taking the path of least resistance, rather than walking the narrow way. The narrow way is often fraught with devilishly placed obstacles of carnal (fleshly) pleasures that are aimed at tempting. Satan knows our weakest points.
God’s children are strangers in a foreign, deceptively dangerous land. It is imperative to understand the minefield we must negotiate for our brief sojourn through this earthly life. But, God did not leave us on our own. The Holy Spirit is here to guide us-if we will only follow. We could not be in safer hands than in those of our Heavenly Father.
Psalm 23:1-3 (KJV) “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
