Luke 21:34 “Be careful not to let yourselves become occupied with too much…that day may suddenly catch you.”
This is a couple of stories that indicate just how close Israel is to resuming animal sacrifices and other rituals. First, the Jewish people have gone to great lengths to raise an unblemished red heifer, and they have reported having at least one and maybe more. It has been reported that Jewish priests are practicing the rituals that are necessary for sacrificing a red heifer. This includes sacrificing real cows in order to get the ashes to practice the purification ritual. They believe they are close to a real opportunity to rebuild the temple, at a cost of one million shekels.
Second, the Jewish Religious Affairs Minister, is promoting a campaign to reinstate the “ritual bath” for women. The campaign is to encourage women to immerse in a ritual bath after their menstrual cycle. The goal is to make the perception of the ritual bath more attractive.
There are a lot of things going on. Re-instituting these practices now is not a coincidence.
