Matthew 24:15 “The time will come when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about…”
There is a time for mourning. But the time comes when you have to put away those past events and look toward the future. Dwelling on the past keeps you from progressing to what the future holds.
It is common knowledge that several disasters have happened to Israel on the Ninth of Av (the ninth day of the fifth month on the Jewish religious calendar).
The ten spies returned from the Promised Land in unbelief on the Ninth of Av, resulting in the Jews having to wander in the wilderness for forty years. Both previous temples were destroyed on the Ninth of Av. The Ninth of Av has been a disastrous day for the Jewish people.
Now, the Temple Institute is calling for the Jewish people to stop focusing on the disasters of the past and to start focusing on the promise of the future–a rebuilt Temple and the coming Messiah. According to the Temple Institute, the temple mount has been in the hands of Israel for over 52 years, and it is time to turn the day of mourning over past events into a day of rejoicing for the future. It is time to rebuild the Third Temple.
All these current events should awaken us to the nearness of the coming of the Lord!
