Revelation 1:17 “When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man, and He placed His right hand on me saying, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last.'”
From Genesis to Revelation, from Abraham to John on the Isle of Patmos, God has told His people over and over, “Fear not!”
Jesus called out those words to Peter when he was sinking in a stormy sea. He cried them out to Paul as a rolling wave capsized the ship in which Paul was sailing. He touched John, imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. and told him, “Fear not.”
“Fear not; I am with you.”
Fear throws cold water on hearts that should be on fire for God. Fear is a product of the devil and it can break your spirit.
2 Timothy 1:7 “But, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.”
