Isaiah 12:3 “Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.”
Spring is such a joyous time. The trees are all leafing out in different shades of green. The grass is awakening to the warmth of spring. Instead of the dead dry gray of fields, they care coming alive with the joyous cry of spring. Flowers are springing up from apparently nothing, bright and beautiful. Gardens are magically appearing, getting ready for a bountiful harvest later.
The squirrels and birds are going crazy with excitement. One bird is, I believe, actually crazy. It keeps trying to get in the back sliding glass door and constantly bombards the truck and car windows. Not once, but multiple times every day for a month at least. It sits on the mirror, poops, then flaps its wings against the window. You can imagine how the vehicles look by the end of the day. I even have video of it’s antics.
The warmth and beauty of spring is magical. As it brings forth new life, it enlivens people as well from the gloom and cold of winter.
But, as wonderful as spring is, without Jesus Christ, you are still living in the dark, dead cold of winter. Thank the Lord for the spring of salvation.
