Isaiah 26:3 (TEV) “You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.”
If you look up the word drive in a dictionary, you would find it says, “to guide, to control, or to direct.” That is what you do when you drive a car; you guide, control, and direct it down the road. Same with a nail…you guide/direct it into the wood.
In like manner, every life is driven (controlled, guided, directed) by something. Some are driven by hate or ideology; such as the ones who orchestrated and carried out the attack on America 19 years ago today.
Some are driven by guilt over something in their past. Something they did (or should have done) that they can’t let go of. It becomes a burden that taints all of their life, all of their hopes and dreams. If they are not able to move beyond the fear and worry, their health can suffer.
Are you tired of hitting dead ends? Admit what has been driving your life and if it is not Jesus Christ, then confess Him as your Lord and Savior. Let Him drive (control, guide, direct) your life. He doesn’t want you to waste your life in fear and regrets. He will keep you in prefect peace.
“God sent His Son, they call Him Jesus. He came to love, heal, and forgive.”(from the song: Because He Lives based on John 14:19)
