Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
The one attitude above any other that can change whatever we face is the attitude of hope.
What can overcome our struggles that beat us down, turn the lights off, and shut the door of our tomorrow? It is the attitude of HOPE.
We don’t use the word hope the way the Bible uses it. We use it to mean “I wish”. “I hope I get a new car for Christmas.” Or, “I hope I made a good grade on that test.” Those are wishes, meaning they’re not sure about it.
Hope in the Biblical term is when I realize God is in control. Hope is when I realize that God’s plan for my life will always prevail. I’ve placed my hope and trust in Him. Whatever happens in this short-term earthly life I’ll be okay.
God’s promises are immovable, and God’s promises are unchangeable. God’s plan will always prevail. I can have an attitude of hope in that future.
