Lamentations 3: 22-23 “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed because His compassions fail not, they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Jeremiah’s declaration wasn’t the result of a single experience, but of his personal awareness of a lifetime of the Lord’s care. Believer, your life doesn’t consist of a one-time mercy or single act of compassion. It consists of a lifetime of mercies. His mercies are new every morning!
Our Lord is not stingy in His blessings. They go on day after day whether we take notice of them or not. I know some days unfold in a way that wasn’t what we envisioned, but we can always be assured of this unchanging fact: every day has an endpoint. The sun will always set and rise once again on a brand new day; one that is filled with brand new mercies earmarked by God for that day.
Every morning we should shout, just as Jeremiah did, “Great is Your faithfulness!”
