Isaiah 55:6-9 Seek the lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher that the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.'”
During this time there is a great need for repentance. A change needs to happen in so many lives. They need to be transformed. That’s more than just a little cosmetic “I’ll go to church a couple of times and that will do.” This transformation need to be from the inside out. It changes your whole outlook, your whole focus on life.
God longs for mankind to seek His face and call upon Him while He is near. He desires for people to turn from the sin that’s so pervasive in society today. He wants people to fully surrender to Him. His forgiveness is always available, but we must come to Him with a repentant heart, seeking His will not our own.
Matthew 6:23 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”
