Luke 8:39 (Jesus said) “‘Return to your house and describe what great things God has done for you.’ So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.”
Many years ago before the dawn of the cell phone, telephones sat on a table or hung on a wall. There was a commercial that invited phone users to call and “reach out and touch someone”. The ad showed adults and children alike happily sharing their good new with others.
We’ve changed a lot from those days, but we still have wonderful news to share with others. We are still called to reach out and “touch” someone. Talk with others about what good things God has done in your life. Share your story with someone who may be hurting, longing for the good news that God still works in the lives of His people.
In the gospel of Luke, Jesus told a newly healed man to go to his home and “describe what great things God has done for you.” The man Jesus touched had lived a life filled with torment, but his new joy not only filled his life, but transformed everyone who came in touch with him.
Make a point to “reach out and touch” someone with your testimony, and your greatest testimony is your changed life.
