Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
I remember, years ago, I had a door shut on me and the light was turned off while I was in the backside of a large walk-in freezer. You just can’t imagine what it felt like when you are truly in absolute darkness (and cold; and you’re claustrophobic). In those few moments of fear gripping you, you realize how quickly you can be brought from the light and fresh air to darkness and the stale limited air inside a small area.
But, what is even more alarming to me is the thought that “in the twinkling of an eye”, a milli-second, so many people will have sealed their fate to eternal darkness without a door, without an exit, and in an eternal darkness with no hope. The door will no longer be there for you.
I know without a shadow of doubt we are the generation that will experience the Rapture of the church. Yet, I see the multitudes living with no urgency to escape the coming darkness. Jesus, today, stands at the door and knocks.
Open the door to Him, while you still can. For the day will come when it will be too late!
