Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
We all face trying times. Sometimes it’s not just one struggle at a time. Sometimes we are burdened down with a load of troubles. I’m a people watcher. I see people in stores, at events, or just walking down a busy street, and they all have one thing in common. They all have struggles. Some you can tell it’s with their weight and the problems that causes. For others, the heartaches and struggles are not so obvious, but I’ve learned to see it in their faces and mannerisms. Sometimes you can tell it’s a broken relationship, a loss of a family member or a spouse. Others appear to have everything life has to offer, but they are still unsatisfied. Peace and joy eludes them.
It’s no wonder the crowds followed Jesus wherever He went. It was because so many people were crowded around that Zacchaeus, who was short in stature, had to climb up in the sycamore tree. He heard the talk around town that Jesus was on his way, and Zacchaeus, a man who appeared to have everything, felt so compelled to see if this Jesus could fulfill that unexplained need, that nothing else could do. He wanted just a glimpse but, found what his heart was searching for. He found Jesus.
Have you found what your heart is truly searching for. Look to Jesus! Glory awaits!
