I Thessalonians 5:1-2,4 “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this day should overtake you as a thief.”
Ever walk outside early on an mid-August day and notice the air just felt different. Oh, it would still be hot, at least here in Texas. But there would be something different about the air. The tiniest of change in how it felt. It let you know fall is on the way.
Can you feel it? You can sense a difference. A day like no other is coming. There is something in the air, some change in our complete make-up of the world. The Apostle Paul gave us many clues to the “Last Days’. A world caught up in crime and immorality, a church that has fallen away from God’s teachings and looks more like the world, and people preoccupied with worldly pursuits.
For the believer, it is heartbreaking to watch the world crumble into darkness. But also for the believer, there is an awareness that with every passing day, the glorious day of the Lord is nearer.
We are not in darkness concerning His appearance. We will not be surprised when we hear the trumpet blast. We, and now you if you are reading this, have been warned. It is outlined in God’s Word. We will ALL see Him soon, some for condemnation, some for everlasting life with Jesus.
I can feel a change coming. Can you?
