Roy’s Blog: “Delusion And Deception” in a new tab)

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them a strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

When asked about the signs of His coming and the end of the age, the first thing Jesus told Peter, Andrew, James, and John was to “take heed”. That phrase means to “see and discern“. In other words, Jesus told them that in the last days people would pay attention to what they see happening. Jesus then adds, “that no one deceives you.” Don’t let what you see fool you. Lies and deception are all around us. People (even our children) are being deluded into thinking homosexuality, transgenderism, and that there are more than two sexes (male and female) is all just natural and that it is okay, because they say so. They demand you believe what they tell you.

The deception taught in our schools that the universe began with one “big explosion” and everything fell into perfect sequence is designed to take the power of God out of the equation. Take God out, and feed people deception and lies. A perfect set-up for Satan!

These are the types of things Jesus warned us about. “Take heed that no one deceives you.” Look at everything through the eyes and heart of God’s word. You will see the delusion and deception for what it really is. For the last few years it’s been obvious to me–many people have been given over to demonic possession. Look around you. Remember the riots where businesses and police stations were torched. A whole section of a city in America was taken over. Hollywood actors were spouting threats against our nation, “Yes, I have thought a lot about burning down the Whitehouse,” spewed one actress (Madonna) and with no repercussion.

These are the days Jesus warned us would come. They are here! Get ready! He could come again at any moment. The time has never been so in line Biblically.
