Roy’s Blog: “A Time To Prepare”

https://bphowlett.wordpress.com/?p=5489

1 Peter 3:15 “Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.”

I am not a soothsayer, but I can understand not only the news of today but of tomorrow. I have the Bible which is more accurate than any world news because it tells the whole story, and it tells me why…why all the things I see are happening. It even tells me the outcome.

The Bible doesn’t say in 2020 there will be a worldwide pandemic. But it does say as the Lord’s return approaches pestilences will increase. It also speaks of an increase in wars and rumors of wars that can engulf the entire planet.

Today there is no safe corner to escape to. We are a global people on a road that no one can escape. Jesus told us as the time approaches preceding His return there would be a time of lawlessness. We can easily see how this is already here. Every headline on the news and in the papers show how out of control people are in our cities and in our government.

We know, as the time draws near, corrupt governments will destroy the trust of the people they govern, creating more and more fear and chaos. Society will see no hope in their elected leadership. The truth is we are seeing prophecy fulfilled everywhere. We are not intended to rely on governments or powers or economies for our hope. Our hope is in the Lord. This is a time to prepare our hearts…be ready. Be prepared to give an account to others for the hope that is in us. Spread the word!
