Ezekiel 5:10 (NASB) “Fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind.”
As the day of the Lord is approaching, what we see is not society improving, growing closer to Him, but reverting back to paganism worse than anyone could imagine.
This was an article in the New York Times on Saturday, July 23, 2022, titled: “A Taste For Cannibalism?” The article claimed that the idea of cannibalism is growing in popularity in “mainstream culture”. The article referenced Chelsea G. Summers’ new novel, “A Certain Hunger”, in which a woman eats her deceased boyfriend’s liver. She noted, “Turns out, cannibalism has a time and a place.”
The NY Times then cited “Yellowjackets”, a Showtime series featuring cannibalism. Ashley Lyle, the series co-creator, suggested “possible factors” in the current fascination with cannibalism as “the pandemic, climate change, school shootings, and years of political chaos”.
But, the prophets foresaw cannibalism as a sign of the imminent coming of the Messiah. The prophet Ezekiel prophesied that one of the horrors that will appear at the end of days will be men eating each other.
