Isaiah 60:1 (NASB) “Arise, shine, for your light has come. And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”
You can’t help but feel it. Anticipation is building. The final Son-rise is coming soon. We, the Bride of Christ, will be snatched away quickly. Sometimes in the midst of darkness it’s hard to imagine how earthshattering it will be as graves burst open releasing those who have gone before, and we who remain (in Christ) are caught up in the air with them. But…it will happen.
When that final sunrise occurs, the resurrection will be real, instantaneous, and mind-blowing. The rest of the earth won’t know what hit them. We can’t allow ourselves to be crushed by the world we live in. Our lives here are temporary. Our best lives are coming soon so don’t lose hope while in the darkness of this world.
I remember how nervous I was as my wife was in labor. As her pains increased, all I could do was try to comfort my her and wait until that beautiful moment as the birth finally came. All the tears and pain were forgotten as we held our newborn baby. And so it will be someday, at that final Son-rise. The tears and pain, the darkness of this world will be past, and we will be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever and ever.
