Romans 11:25 “For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery-so that you will not be wise in your own estimation-that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in…”
That “partial hardening” has happened to Israel during the time of the Gentiles. The “time of the Gentiles (anyone who isn’t Jewish) is coming to an end. We are fast moving toward the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”, the Tribulation. Seven years filled with horror here on earth. What is the purpose of those seven years?
*Refine the Jewish people to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
*To judge the unrepentant nations of the world.
*And to usher in the “Glorious Appearing” of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As I look at the widespread deception in our world, it’s hard to imagine it will get worse, but it will. And, we have (generally) a church that is neither life-changing nor prepared to shine brightly in a darkened world. Overall the church is by Biblical definition, the Laodicean church…the last church age…neither hot nor cold.
The “fullness of the Gentiles” is drawing to a close and we need to be wise through God’s Word not in “our own estimation” of the time we live in.
