Roy’s Blog: “Miracles”

Psalm 139:13-14 “You formed my inward parts, you wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works.

We see miracles every day. They are all around us. Maybe you’ve never stopped to think about them. Try it. Take one day: walk outside early in the morning and look at the trees, listen to the bird, smell the flowers, feel the air. Each one is a miracle of God’s creation.

If that isn’t enough, gaze into a baby’s face. That is a miracle you are looking at. At conception two cells join forces. They immediately begin to multiply. Forty-seven point two trillion times within nine months. From the two genetic codes that become one, a living soul is formed with characteristics similar to his/her parents, maybe even like a grandparent or great-grandparent. That’s a miracle.

If I wrote out your genetic code it would be a three billion word epic. It would take thousands of books to hold all the information contained–in you.

Need to see a miracle today…look in the mirror. There never has been nor ever will be anyone exactly like you. You are unique in all the world. You are a masterpiece of God’s craftsmanship.

Roy’s Blog: “Abraham’s Legacy”

Genesis 17:5 “No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I will have made you a father of many nations.”

At the passing of Abraham, his warring sons, Isaac, Ishamel, and the descendants of his wife Keturah (he married her after Sara died), which make up the Arab nations, stood together as they buried their father.

Now, generations later, these descendants have begun an historic reconciliation. The agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel taking place in our day, is setting a path of peace in this conflict of brothers. The deal is aptly named “The Abraham Accord”.

Remarkably, Abraham’s legacy is so powerful and relevant that a peace accord is named after him after almost 4000 years. We are witnesses to the fulfillment of the divine promise to Abraham, “I have made you a father of many nations.”

What a legacy! Because he followed God’s direction; left his home, his family, and went where God led him, God made a promise to him that has lasted over 4000 years.

What kind of legacy will you leave at your passing? Will family members recall your name fondly? Say you were a Godly person? Legacies live on. God’s covenant with Abraham is being fulfilled today.

God’s promises will always be fulfilled! In His time!

Roy’s Blog: “Day Of The Guillotine”

Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received the mark upon their forehead, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

Thursday night at the last night of the Republican Convention, during President Trump’s speech, ANTI-FA and the BLM placed an effigy of the President in a guillotine and beheaded it. This is demonic!

At one time, people would recognize it as a threat to our President and our country and would take action. Not any more. It is considered a “peaceful protest”.

There is no question that this is only a part of the larger picture we are seeing. Christians are being slaughtered (many beheaded) daily in many parts of the world. The spirit of Antichrist is in full view as he prepares to come on the scene. This demonic spirit is sweeping around the globe, preparing a lost, Jesus rejecting world to receive Satan.

As we look around the world today, we can see so many ready to accept the Antichrist and his mark. The “day of the guillotine” is near.

Roy’s Blog: “Endure To The End”

Matthew 24:12-13 “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

In other words, people’s actions will be completely crazy…out of control. Sound familiar?

I Corinthians 15:52 says Jesus will return “In the twinkling of an eye.” That quick the insanity we see all around us will be over.

Looking at America today, from Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. to Main Street U.S.A., I wouldn’t want to visit them. Thank God, I don’t live near any of them. This is not the “summer of love” one politician called it. This has been the summer of hate and destruction. This is not the America I have know and loved all my life.

If the Good New of Jesus Christ had been taught in the homes of America and in the church houses God has blessed us with, this would not be happening. We took God out of the schools, the homes, society, and many of our churches. “The falling away.

Everything you see happening today, points to the soon coming of the Lord.

Revelation 22:20 “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

Roy’s Blog: “Don’t Give Up!”’t-give-up/

2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

Don’t give up! Just because the going is sometimes tough and the pay (reward) seems so far away, don’t give up.

We all know how hard it is at times; when everything appears to be going wrong, or just not working out like you planned. I remember years ago we got our kids a swing set for Christmas. My Dad and I went out in that cold December day to put it together. Seemed simple enough: here’s the parts, there’s the directions should we have to refer to them, we thought we had everything. The only handicap was the cold (yes Texas does get cold sometimes), but a little hot chocolate helped us keep going.

Finally, several hours later we were ready to put the finishing touches on…the legs that held everything else together. We stood back and looked at our handiwork. Yes! My son went to get on, then we noticed a problem. We had put the legs on backwards. We couldn’t get the slide to fit. Oh NO! We couldn’t believe it. All that work for nothing.

But, we didn’t give up. It was going to take a day longer than planned because by now it was dark. The kids did get to play on the swings, so we got rewarded for our efforts, and the next day we finished it. We had many years of looking back to that day as we watched our kids swing on it until they were grown.

Someday soon the Lord will richly reward you for continuing to love and serve Him, even when things are tough, even when many around you are saying you’re wasting your time, that God doesn’t care. Don’t give up!

Roy’s Blog: “What’s Next?”

2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.”

I think we all knew 2020, being a presidential election year, would be a very chaotic year for our country, especially this election. But, I don’t think anyone was prepared for how dramatic the madness and violence would be, not just in America but worldwide.

Within sixty days we went from a robust economy to an almost total shutdown of America. Also, the shutdown was worldwide. All because of a virus with a more than 99% survival rate. It changed everything.

Businesses were closed, and many of them will never be able to open again. People were unable, or were scared away from doctor visits, tests, and needed treatments. Some until it was too late.

You wear a mask for “protection”, but many hide behind those masks to escape being identified while they are doing bad things.

Churches were forced to close, many of which may never open again. People were put in jail; Pastors fined if they continued to have services.

And now, living over 200 miles from the Gulf Coast we, in Northeast Texas, must prepare for a Category I hurricane.

What’s next? I’m not sure, but I know it won’t be dull. We will remember the year 2020. It has become an epithet. I don’t want to wish my time away, but I’m ready for 2021!

2 Timothy 3:1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”

Roy’s Blog: “No Freedom”

Revelation 13:7-8 “It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.”

Without America, there is no free world. Without America, where do you go to experience freedom?

The same governor of California who encourages mass protests bans all worship and is now fining churches for assembling to worship. The same governor who says churches can meet for certain secular services, bans the same church from having religious services.

We’re not talking about China or Indonesia, or Russia. We’re talking about California, U.S.A. Some other states are following this example and closing churches and even parking lots as places of worship. The same states are not banning the demonstrations that turn into all out riots and looting.

What we are witnessing is an America preparing herself for the seven years of tribulation under the leadership of the man of sin. We are witnessing the last few hours of the last days before the Rapture!

John 8:36 “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”

That is where true freedom lies, without the boundaries of state or country, governor or mayor, prince or king.

Are you free indeed?

Roy’s Blog: “The Opened Floodgates”

Proverbs 21:1 “The King’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.”

The Trump brokered Abrahamic agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates opened a floodgate of Arab countries clamoring to make peace agreements with Israel. Peace between the descendants of Abraham has always been a dream of recent United States presidents.

From the Balfour Accord in 1917, to the Oslo Accord in 1993, until today with President Trump’s Deal of the Century, US presidents have tried to broker a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians and the Arab Nations.

Trump backed the announcement of Judea and Samaria sovereignty until the current accord with the UAE developed. Now it is on hold. But I believe, sometime between now and November, the floodgate of prophecy will again open with the full support of Israel to declare its sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, and in the Jordan Valley, and normalization of relations with other Arab countries.

Make no mistake. God is in control and He directs Kings and Presidents and countries to fulfill His plan for the entire world.

Roy’s Blog: “Point Of No Return”

John 3:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'”

I remember driving through the Dallas metro area on the north side where they were doing road construction. No big deal. I had gone that way many times in the past.

Then I saw it. Without any warning, I could go right or left, or even up on a ramp, but straight the way I intended wasn’t an option. There were no signs telling me which way went to what, or where. I couldn’t pull over or even slow down. I was at a point of no return. I had to make a decision. Pronto!

Thankfully, I went to the right and, praise the Lord, it was the right way.

We all face times when we are at a point of no return. Sometimes it is a simple thing like cutting off your long hair you’ve had for years. At that fist snip, you’ve past the point of no return. That first training for a paratrooper, that first step…down; there is a point of no return.

The most important choice is which way you go with Jesus Christ. There will come a time when you reach the point of no return. It may be when Jesus returns…or it may just be when your time has come.

Before you reach the point of no return–GO THE RIGHT WAY!

Roy’s Blog: “Is Jesus Coming For You?”

Matthew 24:37 “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like in the days of Noah.”

Prophetically, we have talked about for some time now, certain things are coming; things like we are seeing today. We are experiencing the things the Bible foretold long ago that would take place before the coming of the Lord.

There are worldwide crises that have never been seen before, from the pandemic, to the worldwide push for a vaccine, to the economic indebtedness, and the ushering in of some type of crypto currency. These are indeed events Jesus foretold would be like the days of Noah. Yet, as a whole, mankind turns their back on God.

When the bottom falls out (of society, of America, or in your family), where are you going to turn?

Noah turned to God.

Under God’s direction, Noah built the ark, to the saving of his family (and mankind). They were secure in the arms of God. When the storms came, even greater than they are today, they were safe.

Have you turned to God? Are you safe in His arms? If Jesus came today would He be coming for you?
