Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the “abomination of desolation” which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place let the reader understand.”
After illegal Jordanian occupation that lasted from 1948 to 1967, Israel took control of the Temple Mount when it unified Jerusalem during the Six-day War. For the first time in modern history the Temple Mount was in Israel’s hands. Then Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan, in a gesture intended to help keep the peace, decided to allow the Muslim Waqf to maintain control over the Temple Mount.
Dayan’s surrender of oversite of the Temple Mount has been criticized bitterly over the years because it allowed the Muslim religious authorities to restrict Jewish and Christian visitation to the Temple Mount as well as prayer and religious symbols to be displayed. Every Jewish administration has followed those restrictions until now.
The new Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, mandated the security forces and police must “maintain freedom of worship for Jews at the sacred site on the Temple Mount.” This is an eye-opener! Changes are continuing to happen in Israel are the surrounding countries.
Keep your eyes open and your ears tuned so that you will understand when you read the prophecies in the Bible.
