Romans 8:18,19 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.”
This is an amazing promise, when Jesus Raptures His church no one will be left behind. It doesn’t matter where you are whether in a hospital, asleep at home, half way around the world in the middle of the deepest part of the jungle, or in a mine in the depths of the earth, you will be “taken up in the twinkling of an eye”. What a wonderful comfort that is!
After reading and listening to reports of good people, many of them Christians, being left behind in Afghanistan with little hope of escaping and facing almost certain death (or worse), you can only be comforted by the Lord’s promise: “I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” (John 14:3)
I know, with the mess the world is in right now, the Rapture must be near. Too many shadows of things to come are being cast today. We live in the shadow of these events, but during the tribulation period those shadows will be revealed in full.
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Now is the time! Today is the day of salvation! Don’t put it off! Don’t be left behind!
