2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.”
Have you ever waited for a timer or bell to ring. You sat there staring as the minutes ticked by. Your mind wanders just for a second and you look away. The bell rings and you’re startled. It takes you a few seconds to react.
The Day of the Lord’s coming will be sudden and unexpected to the masses of the world’s population. But, to the redeemed, we can know the nearness of His coming.
Jesus said, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars.” As you listen to the news be aware of the nearness of the Lord’s coming. From Israel to Venezuela there are wars and rumors of potential war. In other countries there is a war against Christians.
Over 500 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip over the weekend with the promise of more in the days ahead. Iran is seeking to tie up more of Israel’s forces in the South so they can expand their operations in Syria.
Israel is moving more tanks and military equipment to the border in preparation of further violence. At the next tick of the clock, that pivotal moment could come.
